Yuri Dolmen in ChangRyong
The most beautiful and magnificent 'Badukpan'-type dolmen in korea is located in yuri, changryong(ChangNyong), near taegu, korea. This huge rock looks like a box put on 5 round prop stones, measures 4.4~4.5m long, 2.8~3.1m wide, 2.2~2.5m high. It face to the east side, be placed across the ridgeline of hill(about 50 meters high). There were over 10 dolmens here and there on the hill before 1920's. But all of them except for this dolmen only had been destroyed due to building the road.
5 places of remains were excavated by national museum in 1962. The black and white(B/W) photograph on the below show an inner coffin room after uncovered the stoneplates in a remain of them, which room measures 67Cm long, 27Cm wide, 27Cm high. There were no finds at all. Lay of the hill looks like a three branched twig or something like the trinity. This plane figure of the hill, land and even ancient tomb's location on it is similar to that of Ara Kaya Tumuli on the hill in Haman at a distance of 20Km from here. It could be a connection between this dolmen and the mounds tomb(tumulus).
