NamHae Kaksok
This carved drawings upon the rock is located at the mid-slope of kumsan
(Mt. kum), Namhaedo(Island Namhae), kyongnam, Korea. These were thought
ancient characters as a kind of the hieroglyphic for long times. So lots
of scolars tried to decode, but they said baseless theory come from old
documents. I think, it was now guessed a sort of petroglyph, or a sort
of the talisman either.
There are so many regends about 'Sobul' from time immemorial around the south sea(Namhae) of korea. Legend says 'sobul' came to here to find the herb for eternal life from china in the chhin period(B.C. 221~B.C. 207). The history book(chinese 'ShihChi') says sobul came with 3000 young boys and girls to invite the taoist hermit who live at the three fairyland (mountains) in korea (B.C. 218). The other document says that he had escaped from the terrible policy of Chhin shih huang, Cheng, and he never come back again. A document in korea says his tomb and his shrine are in wakayama, japan.
