LENGTH OF CONTRACT AND WORKING HOURS

Normally, contracts are ONE YEAR long. Under special circumstances,
shorter contracts may be arranged such as 6 months. However, the benefits will be reduced.
The average work week consists of approximately 30 teaching hours.

SALARY

Monthly average wage of 1.8-2.2 million won. This is approximately US $1,500-1,830.

ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED

Housing options are provided and PAID FOR BY THE INSTITUTE :
1) Generally, instructor share an apartment with fellow instructors. Each instructor has his/her own room and shares common facilities. You will be responsible for paying utilities and phone charges. This arrangement is comparable to student housing life.

2) There is also the opportunity for instructors to live in a single studio type apartment by him/herself.

MEDICAL INSURANCE COVERAGE

A comprehensive government medical and dental insurance plan will be offered by the institute.
A policy will be taken out in your name upon arrival. The annual premium is approximately 3.8% of your salary. This cost of premium will be split equally between the instructor and the institute.
